Competition

Our Far South is running a schools competition aimed to engage New Zealand school children with the voyage, encouraging them to follow the expedition and learn more about Our Far South. It is open for all students from 5 to 18 years.

There will be prize draw for all classes who are following the voyage.

To enter, classes need to register online that they are following the voyage and describe how they will use the voyage in their class.

The winners of this draw will win a field trip, relevant to Our Far South, in their region. There will be one winning class in the North Island and one in the South Island.

At the end of Term 1, teachers are encouraged to submit a short description of their class project, related to Our Far South. The top three submissions will win flights and accommodation for a weekend at Icefest, a festival celebrating Antarctica in Christchurch, August – October, 2012.
