The trip will be run by Heritage Expeditions on board the Spirit of Enderby, a Russian ice
breaker that goes to Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic islands each year. Gareth and Jo went
on a similar trip a few years ago on the same boat. It’s described as comfortable but not
luxurious.
On board the ship are IRBs to take passengers to shore. There are also hovercraft which enable
travel across the ice.
